FAQS
Q: Where do we begin?
Your experience starts with a creative fee to reserve your session date. Together, we’ll design a custom collection that fits your story, home, and vision from planning to finished artwork and installation.
Q: What’s the difference between a full-service photography experience and “shoot and burn”?
“Shoot and burn” photographers deliver digital files only. At Brass & Leaf, we provide a guided, full-service experience from wardrobe and session planning to designing finished artwork that becomes part of your home.
Q: Do you have a studio?
We don’t maintain a traditional studio. Sessions are held outdoors, in your home, or in a rented studio—wherever best reflects your story and style.
Q: What if we need to cancel due to illness or weather?
No problem! If someone is sick or the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll simply reschedule. We build flexibility into our calendar to keep the process stress-free.
Q: Can I purchase digital files only?
Digital files aren’t sold separately, but high-resolution copies are included with any artwork or album purchase—so you’ll have both digital and tangible keepsakes.
Q: When will I see my images?
You’ll view your edited images at your ordering appointment about 2–3 weeks after your session. We’ll choose favorites and design artwork together.
Q: Do I need professional hair and makeup?
It’s not required, but it can help you feel confident and camera-ready. We can recommend local stylists or arrange light touch-ups before your session.
